File and retrieve information
The digitisation and retrieval of documents and records can be very complex. That's why we developed our own purpose-built platform, FARIO (File and Retrieve Information Online).
FARIO is an advanced system that enables us to operate as an extension to our clients' in-house operations, managing active files as well as archives, and routing, analysing, tracking and retrieving information.
Authorised personnel in the organisation can create, store, retrieve and use corporate records as easily as if they had been on their personal hard drive.
Locating and sharing records is possible in seconds, rather than minutes, hours or days.
Widespread use
The current FARIO system is in use at many large and geographically spread companies with tens or hundreds of different departments.
Sala is developing a new version of FARIO to provide a wider set of services and to deliver a number of improvements, particularly to the user interface.
Objectives
The objectives of the new system are to provide an easyto-use online system to manage archived boxes and files.
However, we have now included as part of the product roadmap extended services to include electronic delivery options and improved management information.
Product roadmap
Sala's current roadmap for FARIO development is:
Version 2.1: Maintain standard archive and retrieval services.
Version 2.2: Enhanced online imaging with scan on demand viewing without the requirement for third-party installation.
